GAUJA NATIONAL PARK, half day tour

Gauja National Park is usually called Latvia’s Switzerland. Our tour features visits to two middle-aged towns Sigulda and Cesis. Situated on the banks of the Gauja River, Sigulda and its environs offer magnificent views as well as a visit to the medieval Turaida Castle. The castle houses Ethnography and History Museum. Turaida estate provides possibilities for numerous leisure activities, including horse riding, air balloon fights, etc.
Cesis is one of the oldest and best-preserved medieval towns in the Baltics. The ruins of the castle, founded in 1209 by the Knights of the Sword Order, witness its glorious past. From Cesis the German Order controlled most of the Baltic region.
